Thank you for participating in the "Dosan" volunteer program under the San Francisco Korean American History Museum (SFKAHM).

Please read the volunteer guidelines carefully. Once you have completed the activities, upload your results to the designated folder. The supervisor will review your submission and assign volunteer hours based on the guidelines.

"Dosan" Volunteer Guidelines:

​

1. Create Shorts and Videos for SFKAHM Promotion

   • Each Short video will earn 20 hours.

   • For longer videos, the calculation is: (1 minute * 20 hours * video length in minutes).

2. Create Shorts and Videos About the Korean American Immigration History

   • Each Short video will earn 20 hours.

   • For longer videos, the calculation is: (1 minute * 20 hours * video length in minutes).

3. Promote SFKAHM Videos to Your Friends

   • If you promote a video you created, you will receive extra points.

   • Upload proof of your promotion to the designated folder, and the supervisor will review it and assign volunteer hours. The volunteer hours will be determined in consultation with the supervisor based on the evidence of your promotion.

4. Find SFKAHM News Articles and Create Shorts to Promote Them

   • Search for SFKAHM news articles on the SFKAHM website or other news sources, create Shorts, and upload evidence of your promotion to the designated folder.

   • Each Short video will earn 20 hours.

   • For longer videos, the calculation is: (1 minute * 20 hours * video length in minutes).

 

You can choose from any of the above four volunteer activities (multiple choices are allowed). Please complete your activities and produce results within the period from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025. After all activities are completed, your submitted results will be reviewed, and based on the points assigned, you will receive recognition according to the PVSA guidelines.
