Every Korean immigrant or community member holds incredibly unique life stories that hold invaluable lessons for us to learn from. The purpose of the oral-history project is to preserve first-person immigrant history before those memories disappear. We record the quotidian life: why they came, how they built lives in the Bay Area, family/community life, work, discrimination, and changes they witnessed. We hope this will be an intergenerational resource for future Korean-Americans.
